In the traditional language of the Wiradjuri people, the word ‘Yibirmarra’ means ‘to paint something. Here at the Yibirmarra Foundation, we take actions to paint a brighter future for Australian First Nations Communities by promoting the same level of wellbeing and life opportunities as that of the non-First Nation Australians.

ABOUT US

We are a not-for-profit charitable, public benevolent institution established in 2021 with an aim to provide a better future for Indigenous Australians. Led by a dedicated team of community leaders, our foundation works alongside our strategic partner, Yibirmarra Paints.

Yibirmarra Paints is an Indigenous-owned distributor of Australian made paint products that supports the foundation by providing 5% of the gross revenue of every sale. This builds a steady source of income for us to continue creating employment opportunities and a healthier First Nations community.

WHAT WE DO

Our foundation exists to provide benevolent relief to First Nations peoples experiencing poverty, homelessness, violence or disadvantage. We do this through:

Placemaking – building sustainable housing and community hubs in Indigenous communities.

Mentoring – mentoring and development of Indigenous people in the arts

Talent nurturing – we educate, train and nurture talent with a focus on developing careers in the construction and property painting industry

Crisis support – supporting communities in crisis with food packages
